Slipping Over The Dark Hills: A Retrospective of Eric Lindbloom, Nancy Willard, And Judith Lindbloom

Eric Lindbloom
– father, dear friend, and colleague, passed away in April of 2020. He was an active supporter and participant of arts throughout the Hudson Valley. Central among his many contributions was the Photography Critique Group at Barrett Art Center, co-founded with Dan McCormack, which created a vital educational and collaborative space for photographers to develop their practice.

Eric – husband to poet, teacher and writer, Nancy Willard and brother to painter Judith Lindbloom – expressed an interest to see his work in conversation with Nancy and Judith’s artworks.

Fulfilling this wish, and in celebration of all three artist's legacy of mutual collaboration and support, Eric and Nancy’s son, James Lindbloom, and former student of Eric’s, Sasha Louis Bush have co-curated Slipping Over the Dark Hills. Interweaving photographs, sculptures and paintings, the exhibition invites us along on a journey of paper, silk and paint through a set of richly told stories.
